Rheem Expands Renaissance^® Packaged Commercial Heat Pump Line

Rheem^® Renaissance^® was engineered to bring value to your next commercial build—and the lineup just got an upgrade.

With the contractor-friendly installability features you know and love from the entire Renaissance line, plus industry-leading innovations designed for higher efficiency, the additions to the Renaissance Commercial Classic Plus^® Heat Pump line were engineered for easier installation, connectivity, setup, and maintenance while delivering powerful, high efficiency heat pump performance.

Available in 3–10 tons, the new Renaissance packaged heat pumps are the highest efficiency heat pumps in the Rheem Commercial Air line. The 3–5-ton units have cooling and heating efficiencies up to 16.1 SEER2, 11EER2, and 7.2 HSPF2. The 6.5–10-ton units operate up to 17.6 IEER, 12 EER, and 3.6 COP @ 47.

The new packaged heat pumps combine simplified setup and an advanced unitary controller to meet the evolving building demands of today. The unitary controller includes native BACnet IP/MSTP for seamless integration, pre-programmed control sequences for faster setup and consistent performance, and HMI LCD display with real-time visibility for easy configuration and commissioning.

Built-in fault detection and diagnostics with clear-text alarms also allow for quicker troubleshooting and fewer callbacks, with advanced control algorithms that optimize comfort and energy efficiency to meet Title 24 requirements. The unitary controller was also designed for seamless economizer controller integration.

Together, all of these features deliver a strong return on investment from day one while complying with building and energy codes.

Additionally, the new Renaissance units feature up to three stages of cooling and two stages of heat pump heating. Scroll compressors, a direct drive variable speed blower that retains the contractor-friendly slide-out functionality, and patented MicroChannel Heat Pump Defrost design provide powerful, reliable high-efficiency performance.

Industry-standard footprints ensure straightforward replacement without requiring curb adapters, which reduces time on-site and overall project cost. Standard field-convertible airflow also enables flexible configurations across a wide range of commercial applications, from hospitality to education, retail to restaurants, and everything in between.
