RHEEM EXPANDS BUILDER-SPECIFIC PRODUCT OFFERINGS: NEW LINES OF HOME COMFORT PRODUCTS TO LAUNCH AT THE 2017 INTERNATIONAL BUILDERS SHOW

 ATLANTA,   January 10, 2017— Rheem is charging Ainto the new year with the introduction of several innovative, energy-efficient heating and cooling products targeted at homebuilders and homebuyers. The company will officially launch the lines at the 2017 International Builders Show (booth #S1616) in Orlando Jan. 10-12.
“We have spent a lot of time and resources developing the right mix of products that will expand our offering for builders,” said Bill Alderson, Director of Marketing for Rheem Manufacturing. “As the only company to manufacture a full portfolio of residential heating, cooling, water heating, and pool/spa heating products, we can offer integrated solutions for builders that most manufacturers can’t. The products we’ll be showing at IBS add value and open new markets for us within the industry.”

 The new introductions include:

 o  The new Rheem Prestige® Series Hybrid Electric Water Heater is equipped with features that not only save energy, but offer convenience and peace-of-mind, such as water leak detection and multiple operating modes. Designed to reduce hot water energy use by up to 73 percent, the Prestige Hybrid Electric Water Heater can provide homeowners with $4,000 in energy cost savings over 10 years, and pay for itself in less than two. The Rheem Prestige Series Hybrid ElectricWater Heater is a finalist for the 2017 Best of IBS Awards. 

o   Manufactured to improve hot water performance, the new Rheem Classic® Series Tankless Electric Water Heaters  are super efficient,easy to install point-of-use units.  They utilize a self-modulating technology that activates only when water is running,providing hot water faster without wasting energy – and performing at a thermal energy efficiency rate close to 99 percent. The compact design mounts directly to the wall (or under the sink) with common hardware and the unit’s external control panel has a digital display so water temperature can be adjusted in one-degree increments from 80 to 140 degrees. The new Classic Series Tankless Electric Water Heaters are ideal for retrofits, renovations or simply to improve hot water performance in existing spaces.

o  Rheem is launching an entry line of mid efficient,dependable residential HVAC products designed specifically for single-family and multi family new construction. The new Rheem Builder Select  products (and Ruud Builder Advantage line) include single-stage air conditioners, heat pumps,gas furnaces, air handlers, and custom coils. The hard-working heating and cooling products in the Rheem Builder Select line are available for direct purchase at competitive, value pricing.


As aWorks with Nest partner, Rheem will also be part of the Nest Connected Home in the Professional Builder Show Village at IBS. Rheem EcoNet®-enabled water heating products—including the Hybrid Electric Water Heater andCondensing Tankless Water Heaters—will be on display, and in use, in the full-scale smart home. The EcoNet Smart Home System allows homeowners to control and manage their heating, cooling and water heating products from anywhere via a mobile app or through a wall-mounted Control Center. EcoNet notifies homeowners when the equipment needs service and provides up-to-the-minute diagnostics – including leak detection - in clear language. Rheem’s line of EcoNet-enabled water heaters is compatible with Nest products, as well as with Wink and with Logitech’s Harmony hub.
