NASCAR Truck Series - Careers for Veterans 200
August 15, 2015 - Michigan International Speedway
Austin Dillon, No. 33

The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) heads to Michigan International Speedway for the next stop on the 2015 schedule. Austin Dillon returns to GMS Racing as the driver of the No. 33 Rheem Chevrolet for Saturday’s Careers for Veterans 200. Dillon last piloted the Rheem Chevrolet Silverado to a top-five finish at Pocono Raceway, which contributed to the No. 33 Chevrolet’s eighth-place ranking in the NCWTS Owners Point Standings.

Saturday will mark Dillon’s fourth NCWTS start at Michigan. The Welcome, N.C., native earned a top-five finish in the 2010 event at MIS after starting from the pole and leading 18 laps. In total, Dillon has recorded 12 starts at the two-mile oval in the top three NASCAR series, collecting three pole awards, two top-five finishes and 76 laps led.

Dillon will pilot chassis No. 029 in the Irish Hills this weekend. New for the 2015 season, this chassis helped guide Dillon to a fifth-place finish two weeks ago at Pocono Raceway.

The 2011 Series champion will return to the Rheem Chevrolet at New Hampshire Motor Speedway for the September 26 event, where he has two top-five finishes in three starts in NCWTS competition.

Why does Michigan suit your driving style?
I’m not sure actually. I think having momentum is a big part of it, and I’ve really had some good cars when I’ve been there in the past. I don’t think it’ll be any different this weekend with the GMS team and the Rheem Chevrolet. - Austin Dillon
