NASCAR Nationwide Series - Ollie's Bargain Outlet 250
June 14, 2014 - Michigan International Speedway

James Buescher returned to Michigan International Speedway for the first time since capturing the win in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race last August. Almost a year later and now racing in the NASCAR Nationwide Series, the 24-year-old James Buescher started the Ollie’s Bargin Outlet 250 from the 21st position. Early in the 125-lap event, the Texan cracked the top-15 before lap 15 was complete. Throughout the afternoon, Buescher was looking for more security on entry into the corners and to be able to cut the center better with his Rheem Camry. The Rheem crew adjusted on the handling of their Toyota Camry during multiple pit stops to give Buescher the handling he was looking for. Just past the half way point of the race, Buescher found himself running back in the 17th position. It was with 27 laps to go that Buescher radioed to the crew that the handling on the Rheem Camry was the best its been all day when running alone, however when in traffic the handling slipped away. The Ollie’s Bargin Outlet 250 ended with a long green-flag run and Buescher was able to move up a couple positions at the end to 15th. This finish secured the RAB Racing No. 99 Rheem team their seventh top-15 finish of the season.

My Rheem team got our Toyota Camry running pretty good and we were able to run down some of the cars ahead of us. We just had some issue when we were running in traffic, our Rheem Camry just slid up the hill in the corners. It wasn’t the finish that we were hoping for but I think my RAB Racing team learned a lot this weekend after having a couple changes during the off-weekend. I feel like we were able to take another a step forward in our progress to getting our season back on track. I’m really looking forward to getting to Road America next week, it’s challenging and fun race track but it has some of the best side-by-side racing there is. - James Buescher
