James Buescher Returns to Daytona For Another Nationwide Win

July 2, 2013

NASCAR Nationwide Series – Subway Firecracker 250
July 5, 2013 – Daytona International Speedway
James Buescher, No. 34

James Buescher will return to the sight of his first career NASCAR win. Buescher won the season-opening NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) race at the famed 2.5-mile superspeedway in 2012. When entering the final corners on the last lap, the “big one” took place and Buescher was able to steer clear and maneuver his way through the wreckage en route to first career victory. Buescher has competed at Daytona since that victory, in both the NNS and NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. Buescher made his first NNS start of 2013 at Road America. After starting deep in the pack in 29th, Buescher patiently worked his way up through the field to a 14th-place finishing position.

Many people see that Daytona is a special place in NASCAR history, but I also look at Daytona as being a special place for me for another reason. It’s the track where I got my first NASCAR win and to win at to say you won at Daytona, I think, is pretty special. I like the style of racing that the track produces, but you do always have to be at your best. Our Florida Lottery team has prepared a great car for this week and I really feel like we can go out there and visit victory lane once again. – James Buescher

On Friday, Buescher will be signing autographs at the NASCAR Nationwide Drivers Autograph session from 4:30-5:30 p.m. located in the Sprint FanZone.
