RACE INFO: The GoBowling 250 at Richmond Raceway begins at 7:30 p.m. ET on Friday, September 20, 2019. The race will be broadcast live on NBCSN, Sirius XM 90, and MRN Radio.

Bell at Richmond Raceway: Christopher Bell will make his fifth NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) start Friday evening at Richmond Raceway (RR). In his four prior starts Bell has earned two wins, two top-five and three top-10 finishes.

Our cars have been really strong all year and I’m ready to get the playoffs started off on the right foot Friday night.

Richmond Sweep: Bell swept Richmond in 2018, winning both the spring and fall events at the 0.75-mile track. In the spring he qualified second and led 167 laps to cross the finish line first. In the fall Bell qualified on the pole and took home the victory, while pacing the field for 67 laps.

Spring Richmond Recap: Bell had a strong run going early on at Richmond but suffered some left-front nose damage on a restart late in stage two. After multiple pit stops for repairs the No. 20 was once again in the hunt with the help of fresh tires. A late-race caution gave the rest of the field an opportunity to pit for fresh tires. The fresher tires prevailed in the end and Bell was left with a 16th-place finish.

Vegas Recap: Bell was a dominating force Saturday night at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, leading 154 of the 200 laps in his No. 20 Rheem Supra. In the end the winner gambled with fuel strategy and was able to save just enough to make it to the end. Bell was hot on his heels but came up one spot short, crossing the finish line second.

2019 Playoffs: Bell heads into Richmond, the first Playoff race for the NASCAR Xfinity Series, as the Playoff points leader following the regular season.

Joe Gibbs Racing at Richmond: JGR has 99 NXS starts at Richmond Raceway and has earned nine wins, 26 top-five and 49 top-10 finishes. The championship-winning organization has won 11 pole awards with an average start of 11.9 an average finish of 14.6.

Christopher Bell: “Richmond has been good to us in the past and in the spring we had a good run going until we got some damage. Our cars have been really strong all year and I’m ready to get the playoffs started off on the right foot Friday night.”
