Preview – U.S. Cellular 250 at Iowa Speedway

RACE INFO: The U.S. Cellular 250 at Iowa Speedway begins at 5:00 p.m. ET on Saturday, July 27, 2019. The race will be broadcast live on NBCSN, Sirius XM 90, and MRN Radio.

Iowa: The NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) returns to Iowa Speedway this weekend for their final stop of the 2019 season at the .875-mile oval. Christopher Bell, the returning race winner, will be on a mission to follow up his Spring win and make it three-in-a-row at Iowa. In his previous four starts at Iowa, Bell has two wins, one pole, three top-five and three top-10 finishes.

Honoring Sue Karli: The No. 20 Supra will take on a special look this week honoring Sue Karli, a founding member for the Rheem Racing program and a familiar and friendly face in the NASCAR garage to all. The hood and TV panel pay tribute to Sue with her initials in a purple heart, her favorite color and the color representative of pancreatic cancer awareness and the C-post will recognize the pancreatic cancer research effort: http://www.pancan.org/ . The team will wear purple “Sue’s Squad” wrist bands. Sue’s daughter & son-in-law will be in attendance as Rheem guests.

Loudon Recap: Christopher Bell dominated Saturday at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, leading 186 of the 200 laps to take the checkered flag, earning back-to-back victories at Loudon.

Joe Gibbs Racing at Iowa: JGR has 55 NXS starts at Iowa Speedway and has earned seven wins, 22 top-five and 35 top-10 finishes. The championship-winning organization has won eight pole awards with an average start of 6.5 and an average finish of 9.6.
