Stage 1 Recap (Laps 1-25)
  • Christopher Bell started 9th Saturday afternoon at Pocono Raceway to kick off the doubleheader race weekend at the “Tricky Triangle.”
  • Crew chief Adam Stevens attempted some pit strategy and pitted with three laps remaining in the stage for four tires, fuel and adjustments.  Bell was passed by the leader just before the end of the stage and closed out the stage 37th, the first car one lap down.
  • The #20 car received the free pass at the stage break.
Stage 2 Recap (Laps 26-77)
  • Bell started Stage 2 in 37th place.
  • The #20 Rheem Toyota Camry was extremely loose at the beginning of the stage.
  • A caution on lap 53 allowed the team a chance to pit and help gain some rear grip with four tires and adjustments.
  • Bell restarted 25th with 20 laps remaining in Stage 2. 
  • The 20 crew played pit strategy by having a fuel only stop under a caution late in Stage 2 and took the green 18th with two laps remaining in Stage 2.
  • Bell finished the stage 20th.
Stage 3 Recap (Laps 78-130)
  • Bell started 18th in Stage 3.
  • After a pit stop for four tires, fuel and adjustments, Bell took the restart 22nd with 19 laps remaining. 
  • Bell was able to gain a few positions to the finish to earn a 17th-place finish.
