Rheem Partners with GTGlobe Industries to Exclusively Offer Portfolio of PEX Products.

2011-01-28

Offering an array of potable water and hydronic radiant heat products expands distributors’ offerings and provides contractors with a one-stop-shop advantage

ATLANTA (January 28, 2011) – Rheem has entered into an agreement with GTGlobe Industries as the exclusive USA distributor for their product line of quality PEX products, manifolds, fittings, tools and accessories. GTGlobe has built a solid worldwide reputation over a span of 30 years by developing, manufacturing and marketing quality, innovative products. Together, Rheem and GTGlobe will offer an array of potable water and hydronic heating products to Rheem and Ruud distributors. This partnership will further enable Rheem and Ruud distributors to provide contractors with a one-stop-shop for all HVAC and plumbing needs.

“It’s a natural fit for us to team with GTGlobe,” said Don Harter, vice president and general manager of Rheem Sales Company. “We believe the two companies will provide an innovative and profitable combination of products and services that exceeds any competitor’s offering. Rheem has a nationwide distribution system in both plumbing and HVAC markets, and GTGlobe has a product known for its quality in both these markets. This alliance will enhance our position as a complete air and water solutions provider.” PEX, the fastest growing product line in the HVAC industry, is a flexible material that can be used for indoor and underground hot and cold water residential and business applications. Available in a wide range of sizes, this material expands and contracts on its own, making it less likely to burst. It is also resistant to rust build up, corrosion and freeze damage.

GTGlobe will gain exposure through this exclusive national distribution with Rheem, entering a new sales channel to broaden its customer base. This venture also centralizes distributors’ purchases and improves inventory management for GTGlobe.

“The alliance with Rheem enables GTGlobe to grow our position in the marketplace, and ultimately provide our PEX customers with broad, national distribution access,” said Michael Dilts, executive vice president, GTGlobe. “Ultimately, both GTGlobe and Rheem will benefit from market growth opportunities. Rheem’s residential heating skills will aid GTGlobe’s radiant heat market while our potable water experience and product offering will take Rheem into new markets.”

Starting Feb. 15, 2011, a complete line of PEX products will be available through Rheem, Ruud and PROSTOCK stores, as well as other distributors nationwide. Available products include:

  • GTPEX® (Potable Water)
  • GTPEX-R® (Radiant Floor)
