Rheem Manufacturing Company is pleased to announce the promotion of Mike Barnes to director of residential national accounts. This new position reflects the company’s drive to service the builder community, an audience critical to Rheem. Barnes will report to Rheem senior vice president and chief operating officer Chris Peel.

During his 30-year tenure at Rheem, Barnes has served as the Rheem Parts manager, Ruud southeast region manager and national accounts manager for the Heating & Cooling division. In that role, he was responsible for providing sales and marketing support to the new home construction industry.

Barnes holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Alabama, Birmingham. He is also a member of the International Home Builders Association (IHBA), Energy & Environmental Builder Association (EEBA), Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA), American Society of Heating Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) and is a Certified Indoor Environmentalist.
