Homebuilder lauds Rheem’s service on its eighth annual list of best-in-class suppliers

ATLANTA, July 31, 2012—Rheem has earned the prestigious “Partners of Choice” Award from David Weekley Homes, the nation’s third largest for-profit, privately held homebuilder. Rheem achieved an “A” ranking in service in David Weekley Homes’ comprehensive evaluation system, the National Trading Partner Survey. Rheem supplies a number of advanced, and high-efficiency tank-type and tankless water heaters to David Weekley Homes, and Rheem even provides tankless water heaters to the company’s corporate office in Houston.

“Rheem is proud to partner with David Weekley Homes and we’re incredibly appreciative of being named one of the company’s venerable ‘Partners of Choice’ Award winners,” said Doug Smith, vice president of sales, Rheem Water Heating Division. “The focused effort that David Weekley Homes undertakes each year to ensure the highest level of service and quality from its partners is exceptional, and we’re thrilled that Rheem’s dedication to outstanding service stands out among the company’s many suppliers.”

David Weekley Homes created its heralded interactive evaluation platform to demonstrate its strong commitment to partnering with companies that consistently strive for excellence. Over 600 David Weekley Homes Team Members from every market and every level inside its organization participate in the program by rating the suppliers’ effectiveness in delivering Quality and Service to the organization.

The company presents the “Partners of Choice” Awards to suppliers that maintained either an “A, A” ranking for both Quality and Service for the previous twelve months or an “A” ranking in either Quality or Service. Its innovative rating system allows David Weekley Homes to compare companies’ performance from different industries. Bill Justus, David Weekley Homes’ vice president of supply chain services, implemented the revolutionary evaluation method in order to reduce channel costs and provide the highest degree of homeowner satisfaction.

“Our interactive evaluation platform creates a dynamic environment in which partners committed to providing quality and service may benefit,” said Bill Justus, Vice President of Supply Chain Services and the chief architect behind the program. “We provide all the data as well as our commitment to work with our partners in pursuit of excellence. Our friends at Rheem have demonstrated through their actions that they are serious about the program and as a result our Team Members have spoken and recognize Rheem as being world class in providing Service to our organization.”
