Alex Housten of Rheem® Named to Manufacturers Association Board of Directors

October 21, 2025

ATLANTA, Oct. 21, 2025 – Rheem® today announced, alongside The National Association of Manufacturers (NAM), that Alex Housten has been named to the NAM Board of Directors. Housten serves as Rheem’s Chief Operating Officer and is responsible for leading Rheem North America.

“Alex is a recognized leader in our industry, and we are proud to have him join our Board of Directors,” said NAM President and CEO Jay Timmons. “Alex will be a partner in the NAM’s efforts to advance a comprehensive manufacturing agenda that creates well-paying jobs, grows our economy and improves the quality of life for all. I look forward to working together as advocates for manufacturing in the U.S. and to advance the values that have made America exceptional and our industry strong—free enterprise, competitiveness, individual liberty and equal opportunity.”

Housten joined Rheem in 2024 with nearly 20 years of global experience in operations across multiple industries. Throughout his career, he has earned a reputation as a customer advocate and champion of purposeful new product developments that solve end user challenges. He holds both a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering and Master of Business Administration from Purdue University.

“The NAM is setting the agenda and delivering results for our industry, and I am honored to play a part by joining the NAM Board,” said Housten. “There are more than 13 million people who make things in America and the manufacturing sector powers our communities, our economy and our nation. I look forward to sharing my experience and knowledge to continue advocating for the future of our industry.”

Founded in 1895, the NAM, guided by its Board of Directors, is the largest industrial trade association in the United States The NAM is the nation’s most influential manufacturing advocate, and its membership includes some of the world’s most iconic brands and many of the small manufacturers that power the U.S. economy. Approximately 85% of the NAM’s members are small and medium-sized businesses. Executives on the NAM Board, which comprises leaders representing companies of all sizes in every industrial sector, are the driving force behind the NAM’s efforts.

The NAM is a one-stop shop for manufacturers, telling industry stories and equipping manufacturers with invaluable resources through news and insights, thought leadership and partnerships with its digital transformation division, the Manufacturing Leadership Council; NAM’s 501(c)3 workforce development and education affiliate, the Manufacturing Institute; and NAM’s innovation management division, the Innovation Research Interchange.
