It’s that time of year, when we start gathering our financial documents to do our taxes. If you have an ENERGY STAR® water heater, or other home products, make sure to read this so you don’t miss out on extra money.
What Products Have Tax Credits
There are a variety of high-efficiency products around your home that may be eligible for up to $300 in federal tax credits.1 Get some money back in your pocket for those eco-friendly decisions you’ve made. Some of the products include water heaters, heat pumps, central air conditioners, windows and roofs.

There is a manufacturer’s certification statement that you can print out to keep with your dated proof of receipt. Details on What Qualifies
Products must have been installed January 1, 2018 – December 31, 2021 in a homeowner’s primary residence. New construction and rental properties aren’t eligible. So if you don’t have a product on the list now, keep it in mind when you’re buying appliances throughout 2021.
