I am a proud Northeasterner born in Dedham, Massachusetts, and I went to Catholic Memorial High School in Boston followed by four years of trade school at Newton North Tech. I am a middle child with six siblings who was raised in a two-bedroom farm home built in 1843 that played a significant role in the history of the town and the nation. I enjoy all outdoor activities all four seasons of the year. I ran a successful plumbing business for 27 years. I am currently the Rheem Senior Plumber Support Manager and have the honor of leading the highest-octane team in the organization. The future is bright, and I am proud to be a part of it.

Q: Why did I get into plumbing?

A: I was 18 years old, and I had just completed my first semester at UMass Boston. I realized that college was not going to be for me. However, I knew that if I was going to quit, I needed a solid back up plan. An opportunity came up to pursue a plumber’s license and the rest is history. I became a plumber in 1986, became a journeyman in 1989 and became a master plumber in 1990.

Q: What do I like most about being a plumber?

A: Job security, immediate gratification, problem solving, independence, working with people and financial security. I like that plumbing is a hands-on job where I can roll up my sleeves and provide a service to help customers.

Q: What do I like most about my role at Rheem?

A: Teamwork, engaging in the field, building relationships both internally and in the field and giving back to a trade that has given so much to me.

Q: What is my favorite memory of a time I helped my customers?

A: Too many to count. My favorite “memories” are always when I have the ability and opportunity to help someone less fortunate. I am most gratified when going the extra mile for my elderly customers who, in some cases, need me the most.

Q: What is my proudest moment as a plumber?

A: Any time that I look around at my family, friends, home and the quality of life that I have lived and provided due to hard work and the plumbing trade, I am a proud plumber. Some of my proudest accomplishments include getting my plumber/gas fitters license, starting up my business, running a successful business during both good and hard times and purchasing of my place of business.
