Christopher Bell – No. 20 Rheem Toyota Supra Preview The Alsco 300 at Bristol Motor Speedway
Bell at Bristol Motor Speedway: Christopher Bell has two prior NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) starts at Bristol Motor Speedway (BMS), earning one top-five and one-top 10 finish. Bell started third one year ago but was collected in an accident midway through the race. In the fall at BMS he started and finished second.
You really have to think your way around Bristol and it’s an attack place, you can’t just cruise around there, which makes it a lot of fun.
Dash 4 Cash: With his third-place finish at Texas Motor Speedway Christopher Bell has qualified for the first round of the Xfinity Series “Dash 4 Cash” this weekend at BMS.
Texas Recap: Bell dominated at Texas, leading a race-high 127 laps, but came up just shy of pulling off the win. A strategy call for two-tires and fuel under a late-race caution lined Bell up third for the final restart. With so few laps remaining he wasn’t able to regain the lead and crossed the finish line third.
Joe Gibbs Racing at Bristol: JGR has 93 NXS starts at BMS with 12 wins, 31 top-five and 45 top-10 finishes. The championship-winning organization has 10 pole awards with an average start of 11.4 and an average finish of 14.6.
Christopher Bell: “Bristol is P1 or P2 on my favorite tracks list, that’s for sure. It’s so much fun because the track is so fast, it’s so small and you have to deal with lapped traffic. You really have to think your way around Bristol and it’s an attack place, you can’t just cruise around there, which makes it a lot of fun. I’m really excited to get back there.”
