Christopher Bell / No. 20 Rheem Toyota Camry Preview Sport Clips Haircuts VFW 200 at Darlington Raceway

Back to the Oval: Coming off their third road-course race of the season at Road America last weekend, Christopher Bell and the No. 20 Rheem team head to Darlington Raceway on Saturday afternoon for the official NASCAR Throwback Weekend. Bell will be making his first-career NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) start at the historic track on Saturday afternoon.

We were able to test there a few weeks ago, and I think my team and I learned a lot of good things that we can take with us into this weekend

Rheem Throwback Paint Scheme: Bell’s No. 20 Rheem Toyota Camry this weekend showcases the original Rheem logo and lettering font style created in Emeryville, California, in 1925 by Richard and Donald Rheem. During its nearly 100-year operation, Rheem has developed deep roots in NASCAR. Today, Rheem is the only manufacturer in the world producing heating, cooling, water heating, pool and spa heating, and commercial refrigeration products.

Road America Recap: Christopher Bell and his Ruud team paid a visit to Road America last weekend for race No. 23 of the 2018 season. After qualifying fifth for the 45-lap event on Saturday Morning, Bell and his Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR) team went on to finish 23rd after another competitor made contact with Bell with five laps remaining in the race.

Points Update: Following Road America, Bell and his Rheem team currently sit second in the points standings, just five points back with three races remaining in the 2018 regular season.

Joe Gibbs Racing at Darlington: JGR has 52 NXS starts at Darlington Raceway with 10 wins, 27 top-five and 36 top-10 finishes. The championship-winning organization has seven pole awards with an average start of 12.2 and an average finish of 9.9. JGR is the defending race winner

Christopher Bell: “I truly can’t wait to get to Darlington this weekend and make my debut at the track Too Tough Too Tame! We were able to test there a few weeks ago, and I think my team and I learned a lot of good things that we can take with us into this weekend. Rheem has such deep roots in NASCAR, and this weekend we have an awesome throwback paint scheme on board our Camry that showcases the original Rheem Logo and font style from 1925. Hopefully we can go out on Saturday, put on a good show for the fans, and get this awesome paint scheme in Victory Lane on Saturday afternoon.”
