Hornaday Looks Forward to Beginning of 2014 Season at Daytona

NASCAR Truck Series - NextEra Energy 250
February 21, 2014 - Daytona International Speedway
Ron Hornaday, No. 30

Four-time NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) champion Ron Hornaday Jr. will make his second-career start for Turner Scott Motorsports on Friday night in the NCWTS race at Daytona International Speedway (DIS). The 55-year-old veteran is no stranger to success at the 2.5-mile superspeedway, having 10 starts with two top fives and three top 10s to his credit.

First of all, I would like to thank everyone at Turner Scott Motorsports for giving me the opportunity to race at Daytona with them. I am really looking forward to working with the No.30 Rheem team this weekend. I really enjoy racing at Daytona and it always gives me goose bumps when I hit the track. Daytona is a very fast superspeedway. The new NASCAR qualifying procedure is going to be very interesting and I think a lot of fun for the fans. With that being said, it will be important to get a good starting spot and find a partner to draft with. Anything can happen at Daytona, but I know we will have a fast Rheem Silverado. With a little bit of luck, hopefully we can come home with a great finish. - Ron Hornaday
