Harvick Looks Forward to First Nationwide Race at Indianapolis

NASCAR Nationwide Series - Indiana 250
July 27, 2013 - Indianapolis Motor Speedway
Kevin Harvick, No. 21

Kevin Harvick will pilot Chassis No. 131 from the Richard Childress Racing NASCAR Nationwide Series stable in the Saturday afternoon event at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. This Chevrolet is new to the RCR rotation and is scheduled to appear on track for the first time during practice on Friday. Harvick has made a total of 12 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series starts at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, but Saturday will mark his first Nationwide Series appearance at the 2.5-mile historic facility.

I've never run a NASCAR Nationwide Series event at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, but based on my experience with the Nationwide cars, compared to the Sprint Cup cars, they are extremely slow down the straightaway, but you still carry a tremendous amount of corner speed. I think you'll battle some of the same issues you do with a Sprint Cup Series car, only at a slower pace. - Kevin Harvick

Flag-to-flag coverage of the Indiana 250 will be televised on ESPN beginning at 4:30 p.m. Eastern Time on Saturday, July 27 and broadcast live on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Radio Network and SiriusXM NASCAR Satellite Radio, channel 90.
