Stage 1 Recap (Laps 1-70)
  • Christopher Bell started 18th for 311 laps on Saturday at Dover International Speedway to kickoff the NASCAR Cup Series doubleheader weekend at the 1.0-mile concrete oval.
  • Bell lost a few spots battling a tight handling No. 95 Rheem Toyota Camry and came in under caution on lap nine for four tires.
  • Bell restarted 34th and worked his way up to 29th on lap 25 for the competition caution. Under the caution Bell stayed out while others pitted and restarted fifth.
  • The car continued to be free and Bell finished stage one 15th on lap 70.
  • At the stage break Bell came down pit road for four tires, fuel, wedge and track bar adjustments.
Stage 2 Recap (Laps 78-185)
  • Bell started 19th and finished 17th in stage two.
  • Bell reported he had less grip to start stage two at Dover and was loose on exit.
  • While battling handling Bell dropped back to 22nd and on lap 126 was passed by the leader.
  • On lap 135 Bell made his green flag stop for four tires, fuel and a track bar adjustment.
  • Following the stop the handling shifted to tight and Bell closed out stage two 17th, one lap down to the leaders.
  • Bell pitted at the stage break for four tires, fuel and a wedge adjustment.
Stage 3 Recap (Laps 193-311)
  • Bell started stage three 21st and crossed the finish line 22nd.
  • The No. 95 Rheem Toyota Camry fired off loose on exit to start the final stage at Dover.
  • Bell made his final pit stop of the day on lap 251 under green flag conditions for four tires, fuel and chassis adjustments.
  • As the laps dwindled down Bell was turning out competitive lap times but didn’t have the track position he needed.
  • Bell crossed the finish line 22nd at Dover.
