Engineered to Operate in Extreme Climates: New System Provides Domestic Hot Water or Space Heating
ATLANTA (Sept. 9, 2026) – Rheem®, an Atlanta-based leading provider of heating, cooling, water heating and refrigeration systems, has launched the Rheem® Torin™ Commercial Air-to-Water Heat Pump. Designed for both indoor and outdoor solutions and engineered to operate in extreme climates, Torin provides domestic hot water or space heating for applications including multifamily housing, hotels, offices, schools and university campuses.

Available in 68k BTU/hr and 120k BTU/hr models, the Torin Heat Pump delivers hot water in cold climates with temperatures reaching -13°F (-25°C). A smaller footprint offers more flexibility with installation and location, making it easy to customize systems based on the building’s specific needs.
Both models are ENERGY STAR® certified and help reduce carbon emissions and building energy costs through high-efficiency technology. With a Coefficient of Performance (COP) of up to 4.5*, exceeding the commercial minimum requirement for U.S. commercial water heating systems, units deliver energy savings and help reduce operating costs. Torin’s fully electric, zero-emission design eliminates reliance on fossil fuels, while its low-GWP R-454B refrigerant helps reduce environmental impact.
