Homeowners and utility companies both benefit from optimized energy usage through saving energy costs and contributing to a stable electric grid. Additional smart features help prevent cold showers, detect issues before there’s a problem and protect your home from potential water damage. Plus, it’s designed to be the ideal like-for-like replacement that’s easy to install and service.

Demand Response Ready with EcoPort

Built-in Demand Response EcoPort (CTA-2045 Port) allows easy connection to the electric grid to optimize energy usage and savings. Utility programs and regulations are driving participation in demand response programs to reduce energy demand during peak usage hours. This enables utilities to supply continuous and reliable power for homes and buildings. With permission, a 3rd-party communication module is installed in the water heater’s EcoPort (CTA-2045 port). This allows the utility to adjust the water heater’s electricity usage, reduce energy demand during peak periods and reduce CO2 emissions. Built-in demand response saves money on energy bills by reducing usage during peak energy demand hours.
